If you are out there and are capable of drawing really sharp stuff - anyone able to produce a sexy and really clean, professional looking lineart of Quistis Trepe from FFVIII, I'd like to color it.  That is all.

It's become painfully obvious to me that I need a go-to person who would draw really sharp lineart for me to color. My current method of searching randomly through stuff to find something I like is not only laborious, but frustrating too when I can't find something I want, or find a really great pic that is inked in.

I tried to recruit my brother to do it but he's lazy.  I'd do it myself but my drawing abilities are, well, crappy.  I seem to be able to color OK, and I can reproduce things halfway decently if I grid it, but what I need is someone who can draw from scratch with a reference or just a visual picture.

For example, if I want a lineart of Yuffie leaning over and giving Cloud a kiss on the cheek (Gold Saucer date scene, Final Fantasy VII), I need someone who can draw some kick ass lineart.  

The problem is compounded by the fact that I'm picky on what I like and want to color.  If the lineart isn't top quality (for example, the Seth-Eirika one by AutumnSacura that I colored), I don't want to touch it.  I don't want to spend my time coloring something that doesn't look really sharp on its own.  I want my coloring to just improve on an already great product, not try to make a sub-par one.

So maybe if you stumble across my journal and know someone who is a really solid lineartist and would take some requests, drop me a line.  Could really be a good think, especially since I want to improve my coloring.

I was randomly looking at my stats today and noticed that sometime recently my Lucia colored pic topped 1,000 views.  That's a major accomplishment considering that back when I started on dA, I would have been surprised if any of my pieces got more than 100 views.

I guess this is cause for celebration.  I would color another Lucia pic if I can find one I like as kind of "WHOO 1,000 VIEWS CELEBRATION!"  But if I can't, oh well, too bad.

I'm also edging in on 2,000 pageviews, which also kind of amazes me.  I know I'm finally offering some pieces that are a little bit higher quality (I think my coloring is actually pretty good) - but still, two know that at some point people out there loaded up my profile nearly 2,000 times and (maybe) checked out some of my stuff is pretty sweet.  I never expected that.

Anyhow, I guess thanks, and whoo, 1,000 views (although that Lucia pic isn't even that good of a job, but eh, whatever).

I got two requests to color pictures from two different people in the same week.  That's kind of weird considering I never received a request to do anything from anyone before.  Maybe I'm just Mr. Popular this week or something.

But I guess the message if, if you want me to try to color something, well, I'll give it a shot.

I don't know that I'm really so much a friend as I just like your Fire Emblem comics and wanted to receive updates when new ones come out so I don't miss them.  But ya, I'm not in it for my own personal gain - I just like keeping up on the adventures of Mark the insane tactician, heh.

Hope you can thin out some of the fakers though.
